Transformer fire fills high school with smoke

LAGRANGE – As buses pulled up to Arlington High School this morning, the students were told to stay on them as fire trucks rolled up to the building on Route 55 in Lagrange.

Fire officials said a transformer was on fire on the first floor, filling the building with smoke.

A second alarm was sounded and when the fire was extinguished, vents were being removed to air out the building.
