MILLBROOK – In order to fix the 800 feet of retaining wall holding up parts of Front Street and Harts Village Road, the Millbrook Village Board of Trustees has accepted the $240,000 bid from Con-Tech Construction Technology in Carmel.

The total cost will include an additional $31,000 for Delaware Engineering to provide project oversight.

Funding will come from the village’s allotment of $144,000 from the American Rescue Plan and a bond for the remaining $127,000. A request-for-quote is now being prepared to go out to local banks.

The expense is beyond the $23,000 spent to date to test the wall integrity, document the status, and put together the bid requirements.
