TOWN OF NEWBURGH – Police confirm they are investigating how a person ended up being struck by a car and badly hurt on a busy Town of Newburgh roadway Friday night.
The accident happened around 8:30 on Route 300 right in front of Walmart.
Police were seen examining a small white Jeep, which was badly damaged in the front.
They were assisted by troopers from the State Police, along with firefighters who helped light up the roadway.
Route 300 was closed to traffic until well past midnight.
The condition of the injured person was not immediately known.
