SOMERS – A house fire in the Heritage Hills area of Somers on Wednesday claimed one life, State Police said.
The fire broke out at around 4:10 p.m. with fire departments from Somers, Croton Falls, Mahopac, Yorktown, Buchanan, Katonah and Mount Kisco battling the flames as they consumed the building.
One person was found dead inside the building. Police did not identify the sex of the victim and said positive identification of the victim is pending.
The investigation into the blaze is ongoing.
