Three arrested for possessing illegal guns, pot

NEWBURGH – A Thursday afternoon traffic stop in the area of Broadway and Lander Street in the City of Newburgh resulted in the arrests of three men and the seizure of two loaded guns – one stolen in North Carolina – and 281 grams of marijuana.

Charged with two counts of criminal possession of a weapon and other offenses were Justin Crumpton, 24, and Matthew Crumpton, 26, both of Port Jervis, and Zion Holmes, 21, of Highland Mills.

Seized by Newburgh Police Officer Ambrosetti and State Trooper Richichi, working in the Precision Policing Initiative, were a Glock 42, .380 caliber gun with five live rounds, reported stolen in North Carolina, and a Glock 19, 9mm, loaded with eight live rounds.
