NEWBURGH – A 23-year-old Newburgh man was the last statistic of 2021 having been shot in the back in front of 124 Renwick Street at about 11:47 p.m. on New Year’s Eve.
City Police found evidence of a shooting in front of that address and a victim was later located at the hospital, having been transported by private vehicle.
The victim, who police did not identify, was expected to survive.
City of Newburgh Police are investigating along with the Orange County District Attorney and Sheriff’s Offices.

Meanwhile, Middletown City Polce investigated a report of a shooting in the area of 22 Montgo0mery Street around 3 a.m. New Year’s mornibng.
It is believed on man was arrested in connection the domesetic incident. There was no word on if anyone was wounded in the incident.
