Slingerlands man issued 75 tickets following pursuit

CATSKILL – State Police from the Coxsackie barracks arrested a 41-year-old Slingerlands man following a police pursuit reaching 90 miles an hour for some 20 miles.

Troopers observed Timothy Hall driving west on West Main Street in the Town of Catskill at around 1:44 a.m. on December 12 in violation of state vehicle and traffic law.

Police stopped the vehicle on West Main Street near the intersection of Route 9W. As the trooper approached the vehicle, Hall put it in reverse and attempted to strike a police car as he fled.

Troopers chased the car until Hall pulled it into a driveway on County Route 67 and fled on foot.

After a foot pursuit, Hall was taken into custody and charged with felony assault, fleeing a police officer in a motor vehicle, obstructing governmental administration, reckless driving and driving while intoxicated, as well as 75 traffic tickets in the towns of Catskill and Cairo.

He was arraigned and remanded to the Greene County Jail.
