Bomb threat at Stewart unfounded

STEWART AIRPORT – A bomb threat called into the Port Authority for the main passenger terminal building at New York Stewart International Airport Friday morning brought out State Police to investigate.

The call came in around 10 a.m. with the airport operations department notifying Orange County 911.

Troopers with bomb sniffing K-9s were brought to the scene to investigate and found the threat to be unfounded.

The investigation into who called in the threat is continuing.
