NEW CITY – Democratic members of the Rockland County Legislature have appointed Kathy Pietanza as elections commissioner.
Pietanza has been serving as acting Democratic elections commissioner since summer and previously served as deputy elections commissioner.
Patricia Giblin is the Republican elections commissioner.
“Kathy Pietanza has demonstrated that she understands the importance of the Elections Board and the vital role it plays in the lives of Rockland County residents,” Legislature Chairman Alden Wolfe said. “I’m confident that she will work to ensure that the best interests of all voters and would-be voters are served.”
Democratic County legislators unanimously named Pietanza Commissioner Tuesday, appointing her to a four-year term that began on January 1 of this year.
