NEW ROCHELLE – A 36-year-old man and one of his three children were killed when the Nissan Altima they were in slammed into a brick retaining wall opposite an exit ramp on the Hutchinson River Parkway in New Rochelle around 1:30 Sunday morning.
The father was pronounced dead at the scene.
Twin seven-year-old brothers were in the back seat. One was pronounced dead at the hospital and the other was undergoing surgery for severe internal injuries.
The front seat passenger, an 11-year-old girl, was transported to the hospital where she underwent surgery for internal injuries and was recovering in stable condition.
The names of the victims were not immediately released.
The cause of the accident is under investigation.
