PEARL RIVER – Orangetown Police have issued an advisory regarding suspicious behavior that occurred on Tuesday, September 14, at approximately 5:00 p.m. in Pearl River.
On Tuesday police were called to the area of Dexter Avenue by parents of a 10-year-old boy. The child had been playing in his driveway, police say, when a black car with a gray grill and orange NY license plates pulled up to the child. The operator, described as a white male, approximately 60-years-old asked the child if he wanted baseball tickets or baseball cards. The child ran into his residence and alerted his parents, who called the police.
Police are asking anyone who may have witnessed the incident or anyone who may have any additional information related to this investigation to contact the Orangetown Police Detective Bureau at 845–359–3700.
