NEWBURGH – A carjacking occurred late Sunday afternoon and within minutes, Newburgh City Police had the suspect in custody.
The incident occurred at 5:15 p.m. in the area of William and Ann streets when a man, later identified as Kaheem Walker, 40, allegedly threated to shoot a man and then stole his vehicle.
Patrol Officers quickly located and arrested Walker and recovered the stolen vehicle.
Walker, a Newburgh city resident, was charged with robbery and held pending arraignment.
