STONY POINT – Police in North Rockland are looking for two men in connection with a home invasion armed robbery Tuesday morning.
The incident occurred shortly after 9 in an apartment at 18 Hasbrouck Drive in Haverstraw.
Stony Point Town Police spotted the vehicle involved when a description was broadcast to law enforcement. Officers gave chase north on Route 9W until the suspects’ car crashed in a residential area on Hastings Lane.
Two men in the car fled on foot and despite an extensive search, they were not located.
The suspects were described as being black, one thin, the other, heavyset. Both were wearing a green, fluorescent work-type vest at the time of the incident; however, the vests were found inside the vehicle.
