NEWBURGH – The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and Cornerstone Family Healthcare Center are providing free COVID-19 vaccinations today – Thursday – at the Varick Peterson Homes at 69 South Street in Newburgh from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Anyone who lives or works in New York who is 12 or older is eligible for the vaccinations.
Officials note the vaccines are safe, significantly reduce the risk of contracting COVID-19 and the risk of severe illness and hospitalization.
Italian ices will be served today.
