CORNWALL – A vehicle and traffic violation stop on the Thruway in Cornwall early Monday morning led to the arrest of a Newburgh man on a felony DWI charge.
State Police said Hosmar Garcia Giron, 23, was found to be intoxicated with a blood alcohol content of .18 percent; the legal limit is .08 percent.
Giron had a prior DWI conviction within the last 10 years and was charged with felony DWI and aggravated driving while intoxicated.
He was turned over to a sober third party and released on appearance tickets returnable to Cornwall Town Court at a later date.
