Fifty-one county Democratic chairs call for New York governor to resign immediately

ALBANY – As the controversy of allegations that Governor Andrew Cuomo sexually harassed or abused women, 51 county Democratic chairs have called for his resignation immediately.

“Its time to move on,” they stated in a letter signed by all chairs, noting State Democratic Chairman Jay Jacobs, President Biden “and all our elected officials in their call for Governor Cuomo to resign.”

Those who signed on to the call for resignation include:

  • Columbia – Keith Kanaga
  • Delaware – Kathleen Hayek
  • Dutchess – Elisa Sumner
  • Greene – Carolyn Riggs
  • Orange – Brett Broge
  • Putnam – Scott Reing
  • Rockland – Chris Sampson
  • Sullivan – Steven Vegliante
  • Ulster – Kelleigh McKenzie
  • Westchester – Suzanne Berger

Cuomo has refused to step down, maintains he has done nothing wrong and has turned his legal defense team on State Attorney Letitia James, claiming her investigation was flawed.
