ALBANY – Despite over 50 percent if New Yorkers having received completed vaccine series, the state reported on Friday that where were 4,385 new cases of COVID-19 reported.
A total of 1,121 patients are in the hospital, 193 on Friday with 83 intubated.
New York has suffered 43,128 deaths with 11 on Friday including one each in Dutchess and Westchester counties.
A total of 61.5 percent of all New Yorkers have received at least one vaccine dose; 56.2 percent have completed their vaccine series.
On Friday, the 4,385 New Yorkers testing positive for the virus brings the total to 2,156,062.

All New York State mass vaccination sites are now open to eligible state residents for walk-in vaccination on first-come, first-serve basis.
People who would prefer to schedule an appointment at a state-run mass vaccination site can do so on the Am I Eligible App or by calling 1-833-NYS-4-VAX.
People may also contact their local health department, pharmacy, doctor or hospital to schedule appointments where vaccines are available, or visit vaccines.gov to find information on vaccine appointments near them.
