POUGHKEEPSIE – City Police are investigating a Thursday night shooting that injured one man. The shooting occurred around 10:30 p.m. in the vicinity of 325 Church Street.
City police responded to the shooting and found one victim with a bullet wound to his posterior. Witnesses told police that two or three black males fled the scene heading south. One suspect was said to be wearing a red sweatshirt.
As of 10:40 p.m., Thursday night police officers including at least one K-9 unit were searching the vicinity of Poughkeepsie High School for the suspects.
