ROCHESTER – The Ulster County Sheriff’s Office has arrested an Olivebridge man on a felony charge after a domestic dispute on Thursday.  36-year-old Brian Padusnak was released on his own recognizance after arraignment.

On July 8th, 2021, at approximately 7:16 p.m., deputies responded to a residence in Rochester for the report of a physical domestic dispute. The ensuing investigation alleges Mr. Padusnak violently assaulted a female and caused serious physical injury to her. Padusnak fled into the woods prior to police arrival. Deputies quickly organized a search and later located Padusnak on Lucas Turnpike where he was taken into custody. The victim was transported from the scene by Kerhonkson-Accord First Aid to the Kingston Health Alliance Hospital where she was treated for multiple injuries.

Padusnak was charged with felony assault and the misdemeanors of criminal mischief and unlawful imprisonment and arraigned by Town of Rochester Judge Elaine LaFlamme.  He is scheduled to appear back in the Town of Rochester Justice Court on a future date and time.
