Daniel Ramirez, 28, was charged with the felonies of burglary and grand larceny.

He was arraigned and released on his own recognizance.

In another case, police arrested Taleek Watkins, 22, of Liberty following an investigation into a burglary that occurred in a garage of a residence on Long Drive in the village.

Watkins was charged with criminal possession of a weapon, burglary and grand larceny.

He was also charged with burglary and petit larceny in connection with an investigation into a burglary to a residence on Chestnut Street in the village.

Watkins was arraigned and remanded to the Sullivan County Jail in lieu of $25,000 cash bail, $75,000 in secured bond or $150,000 partially secured bond.

“Our department views the unlawful entry into the sanctity of a private residence as a very serious offense,” said Police Chief Steven D’Agata. “We will continue to devote the necessary investigative resources into these cases to see that they are brought to the appropriate resolution and offenders are arrested and held accountable.”
