MID-HUDSON – Happy Independence Day. It will be mostly sunny today with only a 24 percent chance of rain so the weather should cooperate for BBQs and other outdoor gatherings. Those should be made easier because of the COVID-19 vaccinations.
Today, being Sunday, means Monday is the legal holiday.

At the Cantonment, a military drill and cannon firing will be held at 2 p.m. followed by a children’s musket drill. At 2:45 p.m., a visitor assisted reading of the Declaration of Independence will be followed by another military demonstration.
