MONTICELLO – Eight people, including a major drug dealer, have been arrested and a large amount of drugs were recovered in Sullivan County, Undersheriff Eric Chaboty said Thursday.
The kingpin was the last to be arrested, said the undersheriff.
“The main target is a gentleman by the name of Carlos Colon, who was out on bail and still dealing opiates. He is a purveyor of death, as far as I am concerned. He is now in jail with no bail. He still has pending charges that he was out on bail for, and these new charges,” he said.
Armed with search warrants prepared by the district attorney’s office, deputies raided drug houses in Jeffersonville and White Sulphur Springs and other evidence in Colchester.
