KINGSTON – How about a free ice cream cone or coffee as an incentive to get a COVID-19 vaccination? Well, you can take advantage of that as Ulster County has partnered with Stewart Shops convenience stores to offer shots.

The first 100 people to get vaccinated at the participating stores will get either item they choose.

The walk-in sites will be held on May 26 at the Milton store, on June 3 at the Ellenville store, and on June 4 at the Rosendale store.

The county will also be providing shots later today (Friday) at Rondout Valley High School and next Wednesday at Saugerties High School said County Executive Patrick Ryan.

“For those who want to be vaccinated to be vaccinated or have their children 12 to 15 vaccinated, here are two options and we are also talking with other school districts about replicating that if they want to partner with us on that,” he said.

The county is also conducting other pop-up sites at various locations, which may be viewed on the county’s COVID-19 website.
