Deerpark couple arrested for robbing deli

DEERPARK – A Deerpark couple was remanded to the Sullivan County Jail on Sunday following their arrest for allegedly holding up a clerk at the Westbrookville Deli on Route 209 in Westbrookville around 1 p.m.

Liam McCann and Katelynn Mercilliott, both 24, were charged with the felonies of robbery and grand larceny.

State Police said the two entered the deli and stated they had a gun and demanded money. They fled in a 2010 Chevrolet Cobalt with Pennsylvania plates and was stopped a short time later on Oakland Valley Road by Deerpark Town Police.

All proceeds of the robbery were recovered.
