Two charged in connection with auto dealership investigation

SAUGERTIES – Two Saugerties residents were arrested on Thursday in connection with an ongoing investigation involving Winnies Car Dealership, also known as 9W Auto Sales, at 3064 Route 9W the Town of Saugerties.

 

Town Police charged Deborah Ferraro with criminal possession of a forged instrument and offering a false instrument, both as felonies, and a misdemeanor of falsifying business records.

 

Derek Winnie was charged with two counts of forgery, three counts of offering a false instrument for filing, and two counts of falsifying business records, all as felonies, and a misdemeanor of falsifying business records.

Police did not provide details of the investigation or what precipitated the arrests.
