State provides clean water infrastructure funding

ALBANY – The State Environmental Facilities Corporation has approved funding to support drinking water and wastewater infrastructure projects.

The Town of Ulster will receive a grant of $457,200 for replacement of a water storage tank that will provide additional capacity.

The Town of Windham will receive $5 million in long-term interest free financing and a $1.7 million grant for installation of a new backwash tank and backup generator at the Westwinds wastewater treatment plan, replacement and extension of deteriorating cast iron water main, and installation of a new water main.

The Town of Rockland will receive $1.5 million in long-term interest free financing for planning, design and construction of upgrades to the town’s Roscoe wastewater treatment plant.
