KINGSTON – Persons 16 and older may now get COVID-19 shots as the vaccine supply becomes available.

One issue that remains for many is how to get to a vaccination location once they have a date and time reserved – that being transportation.

In Ulster County, Executive Patrick Ryan has a solution. He has authorized Ulster County Area Transit to provide free transportation for anyone going for a shot.

“You can get on that UCAT bus and get to any of those sites that the county is running and that will be at no cost. So, transportation should not and will not be a barrier for getting your vaccine,” he said.

That includes all UCAT routes in the City of Kingston.
