KIAMESHA LAKE – The site of the former Grossinger’s Hotel could once again be a venue for Catskills’ visitors as developers of a boutique hotel are eying the location.

Sullivan County Partnership President Marc Baez said if built, the hotel would have a 21st-century look and size.

“The scale wouldn’t be as big and it would be more like modern facilities being built now, kind of one with nature and more bucolic in its setting, but certainly any activity there would be very welcome by the community and by us, of course, to bring that property back to at least, partially, its heyday,” he said.

Baez said developers are just exploring the possibility at this point with no definitive decision to build.
