Investigation into Harlem Valley drug sales leads to arrest of woman

POUGHKEEPSIE – A 32-year-old Amenia woman has been arrested following an investigation into sales of narcotics in the Harlem Valley.

The Dutchess County Drug Task Force and sheriff’s office have arrested Ashley Sniffen while on Route 343 in the Town of Amenia.

On March 24, she was found in possession of approximately 140 bags of heroin/fentanyl and several rocks of crack cocaine.

She was charged with felony criminal possession of a controlled substance, arraigned in Amenia Town Court, and released. Other charges are pending, police said.

Also arrested during the investigation was Tyler Recchia, 26, of Amenia, who was wanted on two Dutchess County Court felony warrants. He was turned over to Millerton Police.
