CORTLANDT – State Police are seeking the public’s help in identifying a man who displayed a handgun at the Mohegan Lake Walmart store on East Main Street.

On January 13, the man was reported to have confronted a shopper and accused that person of stealing a face mask.

During the confrontation, the man posing as a loss prevention employee, ordered the patron to “come with me.” The patron refused and the man lifted his jacket to reveal a holstered handgun with a brown grip.

After the confrontation, the suspect left the store and drove off in a gray or light-colored sedan.

Anyone who thinks they can help is asked to contact the State Police at 914-769-2600.
