ELLENVILLE – Police are looking for two men who burglarized two Ellenville restaurants early Monday and were caught in the middle of a third one by the owner.

Village Police said at around 3:40 a.m. they responded to a call for a burglary in progress at the China One Restaurant on Center Street.

The investigation revealed that an older model white van pulled into the alley behind the building and two men got out.

One suspect hooked up a machine to waste oil drums while the other stayed at the back of the van to start it.

At that point, the owner of the business confronted the burglars, yelled at them and said he was calling the police.

The suspects fled on Route 52 toward Fallsburg.

Police are asking anyone who may know the suspects or have any information about the incidents to call them at 845-647-4422 or leave a confidential message on the Ellenville Police Facebook page.
