TOWN OF NEWBURGH – A 69-year-old man has been arrested and charged with six counts of criminal possession of a weapon, unlawful manufacture of methamphetamine, and misdemeanor drug possession.

Town Police in Newburgh arrested Stephen Affron, a principal owner of Affron Oil, on Sunday after they executed a search warrant along with State Police at his home on Dogwood Lane.

He was arraigned and remanded to the Orange County Jail in lieu of $100,000 cash bail, $200,000 secured bond or $350,000 partial bond.

Assisting at the scene were the Cronomer Valley Fire Department, Town of Newburgh Volunteer Ambulance and Orange County Hazmat.
