ALBANY – State Assemblyman Karl Brabenec (R,C,I – Deerpark) has been promoted to deputy minority whip of the Assembly Republican Conference, and was reappointed as ranking Republican of the Labor Committee. Brabenec was also appointed to the Ways and Means and Rules Committees.
“Being named to the two most powerful committees in the Assembly will also help me fight for the residents of the 98th Assembly District and the entire State of New York as we try to help the damage to our economy caused by the COVID-19 pandemic,” he said.
Brabenec called the Assembly Republican conference “one of the last remaining voices of reason for upstate middle-class New Yorkers.”
The lawmaker was re-elected to his Assembly post last fall.
