TOWN OF NEWBURGH – An early morning fire Sunday turned out to be tragic when flames were extinguished, and a body was found inside the vehicle.
Firefighters from the Goodwill Fire Department in the Town of Newburgh were called to a fully involved car fire in a driveway of a Gidney Avenue address at around 4 a.m.
When the fire was out, firefighters reported a deceased person inside and a medical examiner was called to the scene.
