POUGHKEEPSIE – Due to the surge in COVID-19 cases, the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office will be modifying in-person lobby access to all Civil Bureau, Pistol Permit Bureau and Records Bureau services at the Sheriff’s Law Enforcement Center.
Effective Monday, December 14, in-person lobby access to the Civil Bureau, Pistol Permit Bureau and Records Bureau will be by appointment only between 8 a.m. and 3:45 p.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.
There will be no in-person lobby access to those services on Wednesdays; however, staff will be available to assist by phone or email.
For all Civil Bureau matters, call 845-486-3840. For all Pistol Permit Bureau matters call 845-486-3883 or 845-486-3896. For all Records Bureau matters, call 845-486-3810.
This modified lobby access does not impact law enforcement services. Deputy sheriffs are available to assist in the lobby or throughout Dutchess County 24-hours a day. For police assistance call 845-486-3800.
