MONTICELLO – Democratic Acting Sullivan County District Attorney Meagan Galligan has declared victory in her race against Republican former Judge Frank LaBuda.
“I have come to know so many people who are committed to ensuring a bright, safe future for Sullivan County. Together, over the past year, we took on a challenge many thought was impossible, trusted our community to exercise its good judgment, and took the high road at every turn. The voters have overwhelmingly proven that we stand for honesty, integrity and justice for all,” she said.
A lifelong resident of Sullivan County and a member of the DA’s office since 2009, Galligan will continue serving as acting DA until her new term begins on January 1, 2021.
