Man stabbed several times in New Rochelle

NEW ROCHELLE – Police in New Rochelle are investigating an attack on a 49-year-old local man who sustained several stab wounds.

At about 7:15 p.m. on October 30, police received a call from the New Rochelle Montefiore Hospital emergency room reporting the victim was brought in for treatment.

Preliminary investigation revealed that it is believed the victim had been in the vicinity of 380 Main Street with several friends when two men in their 20s, who were wearing masks, approached the victim and attacked him

The victim sustained a laceration to his right arm, a laceration to his right shoulder area, and a laceration to his right arm pit/upper arm, which is believed to have cut deep into his muscle or artery.

A friend of the victim was able to push the man off him. The suspects took off in a dark vehicle.

The victim then walked on Main Street towards Harrison Street, where he met a friend who drove him to the hospital.
