Authorities give ‘all-clear’ for ‘suspicious substance’ found at Chatham Village Hall

CHATHAM – A substance found in Chatham Village Hall has been determined o be nonhazardous and existed prior to mail delivery.

State Police and Chatham Village Police began looking into a suspicious substance found in village court on October 21.

But, following investigation, police determined there was no danger and that there was no criminal behavior involved. As a result, the court, which had been isolated, was reopened.
