VALATIE – State Police have arrested a Valatie man on five felony counts of possession of a sexual performance by a child.
An investigation led to a warrant search of the residence of Joseph Benvenuto, 30, and authorities discovered child pornography in his possession.
He was issued an appearance ticket returnable to Kinderhook town court.
Investigators are attempting to determine if Benvenuto has had any suspicious contact with persons in the Valatie area. Anyone with information regarding suspicious or criminal behavior Benvenuto may have been involved in is asked to call State Police Troop K at 845-677-7300.
