Tennessee man arrested with illegal gun

LIBERTY – A 29-year-old Tennessee man was arrested by Village of Liberty Police on a charge of illegal possession of a gun.

On September 30, police were called to the Day’s Inn hotel on Sullivan Avenue for a report of a man with a gun. The investigation led to the arrest of Roberson Bryant. He was charged with criminal possession of a firearm as a felony and criminal possession of a weapon as a misdemeanor.

Due to state bail reform, Bryant was released on an appearance ticket.

Liberty Village Police were assisted by Sullivan County Sheriff’s deputies and State Police.
