Two charged with raping underage girls

TOWN OF POUGHKEEPSIE – Two Poughkeepsie men are under arrest on first-degree rape charges for allegedly sexually assaulting two girls ages 12 and 14 over a 24-hour period at the Red Roof Inn on South Road in the Town of Poughkeepsie.

Poughkeepsie Town Police began their investigation when they received a report of the assault.

On September 9, police located James Reed Jr., 18, and on

September 21, they took Antwon Flowers, Jr. 19, into custody.

Reed was charged with felony rape and predatory sexual assault of a child. He was remanded to the Dutchess County Jail without bail.

Flowers was charged with the felonies of rape, criminal sex act, and predatory sexual abuse. He was remanded the county jail without bail.

Assisting Poughkeepsie Town Police in the investigation were the FBI Safe Streets Task Force and City of Poughkeepsie Police.
