Teenager arrested for stealing guns and money from friends

THOMPSON – On August 20, 2020, State Police have arrested Theo Gilbert, age 19 of Rock Hill, for stealing guns and coins from his friends.
Gilbert is charged with Grand Larceny 3rd degree, a felony. State Police say their investigation revealed that while Gilbert was staying with family friends he stole a Walther PP32 automatic pistol, a .380 Sig Sauer, a Marlin 99 lever-action long gun, a Remington long gun with a scope, and a Ruger .22 semi-automatic rifle. He also stole coins from a rare coin collection with a value of $3,000 to $4,000.
Gilbert was issued an appearance ticket with a return date to the Town of Thompson Court on August 31, 2020, at 5:00 p.m.
