WHITE PLAINS – A Westchester County grand jury has indicted a Mount Vernon man for setting a house fire in April on Easter Sunday.
Lamont Riddenhour was arraigned on felony charges of arson and criminal mischief.
On April 12, Easter Sunday, around 9 a.m., Riddenhour allegedly set a fire that burned to the ground a three-story private home on South Tenth Avenue in Mount Vernon. Prosecutors allege he had a dispute with an occupant of the house. There were no injuries.
The building was destroyed.
Bail was continued at $50,000 cash, $300,000 bond or $500,000 partially secured bond.
