Young bicyclist struck and killed Sunday night

HYDE PARK – A nine-year-old girl was killed on Route 9 in Hyde Park Sunday night, according to first responders.

Sources tell Mid-Hudson News that the child was riding a bicycle in the area of the Speedway gas station when she was struck by a vehicle.

Route 9 northbound was closed as Hyde Park Police investigated the fatal collision.
