NEW CITY – The Rockland Community College 2020-2021 budget has been approved by the county legislature.

The $66.9 million spending plan is a decrease of about 1.2 percent from the previous year’s budget.

The county’s contribution is $17.9 million with the state kicking in $16.1 million. Student tuition, the largest portion of revenues, totals just under $24 million.

Tuition will increase $196, or four percent, for the full academic year, from $4,912 to $5,108.

The fall semester will see more than 90 percent of its offerings conducted remotely because of COVID-19.
