MAYBROOK – An accident involving three tractor-trailers on Interstate 84 in the Maybrook area Saturday morning shut down the highway for some time.
The crash occurred around 8:30 and at 4:30 p.m., westbound traffic was still backed up with one lane moving at a snail’s pace.
Heavy tow truck equipment was still on the scene along with state troopers as large piece of what once was trucks were being removed.
Right after the crash, emergency responders reported one person entrapped in a vehicle. He was extricated and transported to a hospital via a medivac.
Several area fire departments were called in to assist at the scene along with State Police,
who were investigating the cause of the crash.
