Second man in Wurtsboro plane crash dies

VALHALLA – The second man in the crash of a single-engine plane near Wurtsboro Airport on June 5 has died.

Raymond Ellery, 42, of Poughkeepsie, died on June 13 at Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla.

He was serious injured when the plane he was in crashed into a wooded area around 7:20 p.m.

The other man in the plane, Eddy Santana, 41, of Wurtsboro, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Both men were licensed pilots, State Police said.

Ellery was a paramedic for EMStar.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.

First responders converged on the site shortly after the plane crashed
