Small plane lands safely with broken landing gear

STEWART AIRPORT – A small airplane made a safe landing at New York Stewart International Airport on Monday afternoon after its landing gear failed.

Fire equipment rolled as a precaution, but there was no fire, and no one was apparently injured.

The cause of the equipment failure is under investigation.
