Two arrested by Kingston PD hours after burglary

KINGSTON – City of Kingston Police have arrested two Kingston residents on burglary charges for allegedly breaking into NAPA Auto Parts at 5671 Broadway and stealing items.

Christopher Power, 33, and Heather Barlow, 42, both of Garden Street in Kingston were arrested hours after the break in.

On Friday, June 12, at about 2 a.m., officers responded to an alarm at the store and found that a glass window had been smashed and items had been stolen from the building. An investigation ensued.

At about 3:30 p.m. the same day, Power and Barlow were arrested for the burglary. Detectives were assisted by the Patrol Division and the Special Investigations Unit during the investigation.

Power and Barlow were processed and released on appearance tickets for arraignment at a later date as per the recently enacted bail reform laws.
