Arkville man’s body pulled from Hudson River

KINGSTON – The Ulster County Sheriff’s Office said a preliminary investigation suggested a 70-year-old man accidentally drowned in the Hudson River off East Kingston in the Town of Ulster.

James Lamborn of Arkville was found near his vessel in the water around 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 30. Passing kayakers discovered his body and the sheriff’s office Navigation Unit was called in.

The sheriff’s office was assisted at the scene by the Ulster Hose Fire Department, Ulster Police Department, and the State Department of Environmental Conservation.
